So I used to do a lot of Developer stuff back in college and high school and ever since then I really miss it. It used to be a lot of fun. Well I decided to try and find my roots again and thought why not try and create an application for facebook.

Well it has started and I am working on it. It is a really neat feeling to know that you created something that people can use. Anyways check it out and although it is not public yet, friends can add it as they please by clicking here. A lot of work needs to go in it still but at least you have something basic to show off at the moment .

First, I want to congratulate Ted for his continual update last night, while waiting for the launch of the Zune V2 (apparently the hills was on also last night, and Ted has an update on that ).

Anyways a lot of changes have happened within the last few hours. The Zune website has been updated and the new theme goes well with all the other updates that have been made.

The new marketplace software is also ready to be downloaded, and will update your existing Gen 1 Zunes to the new version. The Zune Originals site is also online, where people can order custom Zunes which have some amazing artwork on the back.

Also launch of the all new Social is under way with the launch of the Social Website, where by people can customize a Zune Card with their favorite artists and now playing list. It is pretty awesome and neat, and looks pretty cool. You can see mine here (I haven't had a chance to really update it yet, but working on it).

Also the Zune Version 2 reviews are coming in slowly and so far so good. This has been one amazing roll out and lets see how sales do, but I am excited with the release of the new futures and the social. Can't wait to see what else is in the pipeline.

In  a recent press release, it has been announced that tomorrows users will be able to order Zune's online from a newly created Zune Originals Website. For people who are buying the new Zunes you have to option from ordering it online and being able to customize it with a graphic  Tattoo and even text. There is no charge for this customization, and is a great way to customize your Zune even further. The site will be online tomorrow and cannot wait for the release and launch tomorrow .

So we are in the home stretch and ready to launch the 2nd Generation of the Zune, with Tuesday, November 13th being the launch date. With new Zunes being launched, comes a brand new Zune Marketplace, as well as Zune software upgrades for the original Zunes and the Social website. So much is coming in the next 48 hours, that its pretty exciting. Here is another Zune commercial for you to check out.

Windows Live has been growing tremendously over the past year and has started to include more and more services, to make for a better online user experience. Recently the ability to register for new Live IDs at Live.com (i.e. yourname@live.com) opened up for registration, and thus opening the door for the Fresh Start program. This program allows you to register your ID and then follow the steps to make sure that your contacts and email are transferred from one account to another. The ability of having a Windows Live ID, lets you access a number of features such as Windows Live, Live Hotmail, Live Messenger, Live Spaces and many others with linking up to Xbox Live and your Zune account.

Over the next couple of days there will be advertising for this Next Generation of Live Services, with the theme revolving around "Open up your Digital Life", with the campaign starting on Facebook. This campaign is also led by the release of the Windows Live Applications, which when bundled with our Live Services, allows you to have a better online experience. Try it out and see what you have access too.

Last night, the Zune Team launched the new ad campaign for the next generation of the Zune Player. Lets just say that it is definitely unique, but a really interesting campaign. This is just part of what has been announced to a be a multi stage campaign with more commercials / TV spots coming soon, as well as print ads in magazines as well as advertising on sites.

Another site, that has been launched to talk about the "You Make It You" campaign is ZuneJourney.net, which explores the Zune and allows you to see the different models, that will make up the Zune universe. There will be a 4, 8 GB model that is a smaller unit, for people who want something small and sleek and it plays videos. There will be a larger 30, and 80 GB model that will be for the people who have a lot of music and videos they like to carry around with them.

I will bring more updates as they happen, but wanted to talk about what "You Make It You" means. It means, that you bring you to life based on what you load up into your Zune. The ability to load on pictures, music and movies, access the radio and build a social network, all make you, you and hence the tag line "You Make It You". Lastly is the newly released Zune commercial that is the first one in the launch. Enjoy it.

One of the huge limiting factors, in my opinion, with the original Zune, was the fact that there were not enough accessories for the newly launched player. This is somewhat true, when you look at how many accessories there are for other MP3 players. Well that has been taken care of for the next launch, as it has been recently announced that a number of manufacturers are getting ready to flood the market with accessories and that on the opening day, there should be close to 60 accessories available for the next version of the Zune.

The first generation of the player had a few accessories, but the Zune 2 will really hit the ground running.

What is also exciting is that the displays in all retail stores are getting ready for the new Zunes, which is less than 2 weeks away. Walmart has recently updated one of its stores, and pictures are up. It looks sweet and cannot wait for launch day.
