2月12日 Sometimes all you are left saying is "WOW"So by now all of you should have at least said "WOW" once so far. As part of the campaign for Vista, these commercials have started airing and wanted to share it with the community. To follow along, just say "WOW" (I mean is there anything else to say :P)
Every so often you experience something so new, so delightfully unexpected, that there is only one word for it. "WOW"!!! TechReady 4So there are 2 people I idolize in this world. One is my father for obvious This trip was great for other reasons too. I got a chance to see all my friends, well most of them from MSSU again, so that was a ton of fun and it was great going out with them and partying with them once again. I also got a chance to hang out with the team from Charlotte, and then Ted again who was my roommate, which was good times. Training was good too, which is what all this trip was about, and involved waking up in the mornings, going The highlight of the trip was definitely seeing Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer though. They are both excellent speakers and really motivational. Steve is just awesome because when he talks he is just so passionate about everything. Involves a lot of running around and shouting and screaming and he got me fired up on the first day. Bill Gates on the other hand is a bit more quiet but still motivational because he keeps talking about the future and where it is going and well when he talks you should be listening. Otherwise all else was pretty good. I had to get up early to see them both as with 6000 people there, everyone wanted to try and get within the first few rows to see him (I felt like I was at a concert). I was in the 5th row for Steve Ballmer and the 2nd row for Bill Gates, wooohoooo. Anyways back in Charlotte now, but at least a dream has been realized. Looking forward to the day when I can actually meet them both and get a picture with them and here is hoping that it happens really soon :). 2月1日 Let it snow, No wait... Why is it snowing in Charlotte????????So it snowed today, in Charlotte. Yeah snow. I was shocked too. However it wasn't going to stop me. After moving down from the north where snow was practically an everyday thing during the winters, this little amount of snow was not going to stop me. Well it started to rain and I was like this is going to get bad. And really a couple of inches of snow is not bad. Its just that well Charlotte is not designed for snow. Nobody knows how to drive (you should watch people in the snow) and it was a lot of fun. We also got an email from work and the site was closed so we all got a chance to work from home.
Anyways there were a couple of us guys at work so we had some fun as no one was there, and after a couple hours just decided to call it quits and grab lunch and then just relax. Anyways good times and a great day off, but of course I had to work, but otherwise it was nice to see snow again. Stupid slush though, good thing it'll be gone in a few days. Vista and Office Launch at WorkSo in case you have been hiding under a rock or haven't read a single post, newspaper, article, magazine, talked to anyone within the last week, well let me tell you again, the "WOW" has started. In other words, Windows Vista and Office 2007 have just launched.
One of the best parts of the launch was that Derek, Rick and myself got a It was a great couple days and although it is now over, just reading a new article or looking at a magazine I can just see the impact this had and what it means for everyone. It is amazing so like in my last post, if you haven't seen this before or haven't tried Vista or Office then walk into Best Buy or Circuit City and check it out. Give it a chance. It is all about the "WOW". What is the "WOW"? It is you looking at the piece of software running on the computer and saying "WOW', thats awesome or truly amazing or just "WOW" again. Once you say it, you'll understand it, trust me. Anyways what an amazing week and next week when I go for training will be even better and a lot more fun. Cannot wait. What a truly amazing event to be a part of. Can't wait for more future launches at this company. |
