    Whitewater Rafting

So we went whitewater rafting on Thursday with the guys and gals from Row... Drew was yelling some viking chant in the back to keep us all in line... work. Got a chance to hang out as well as have some fun in the water and pretend we were fish. Check out the pictures, and it was definitely a lot of fun. We were all exhausted after the entire trip but it was definitely worth it. If people in Charlotte haven't heard of this place, they have the largest manmade whitewater rafting center in the world with replicas of rapids from different regions in the world. A lot of fun and good times. They also had kayaking and rock climbing there also.

So far so good, and I am enjoying the game. Really tired, but what you going to do. The hype and rush is still going on and will be for a while smile_teeth.

    Halo 3 - Line Update

So, I am in line for Halo 3, and got about 2 hours to go before I get the game in hand. We got Dominos pizza coming, and a martial arts demonstration, as well as geeky trivia. To top it off we got coverage by Fox Charlotte (news). Going to be one heck of a night.

Halo 3 - A Star Wars for the Thumb Stick Generation

With over 1.5 Million Pre-orders in place for tonight's launch of Halo 3, it has become the fastest pre-selling game in history.

Wired Magazine has called Halo, "a cultural touchstone, a Star Wars for the thumb stick generation."

By the end of the week fans in 37 countries around the world, will have their hands on this game, with a midnight launch in the US, with nearly 10,000 stores doing midnight launches.

Halo 3 - Believe - Finish the Fight

    image

Finally, after almost 3 years in development, Halo 3 will be released to the public. With the fact that the video game industry is booming more than ever, Halo 3's release is setting the bar for all future games from this point on due to what it is able to achieve with the storyline, graphics, user interface, multiplayer gaming as well as a whole list of other things.

With launch events all over the country, with people standing in line 30 hours before the actual launch up at the New York City Best Buy, this is going to be some launch event. Stay tuned for posts and stats as they are released. Right now enjoy the Halo 3 links, as well as the Believe Battle Field.

    Office Ultimate 2007 - $59.95 for Students

So Office 2007 was officially released earlier this year. After having used it for almost a year now (I was using it when it was in Beta), I can tell you that it is one of the greatest Office products ever. It definitely allows me to work a lot faster because of how the menus and user interface have been redesigned. If you don't believe me smile_tongue try it for free here.

So looking at Office Ultimate 2007, which usually retails at stores for about $679.99, is now available for a few months at 60 bucks. With Office Ultimate, you get Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher (good for flyers and marketing material), and then one of my favorite OneNote (which is a note taking program and really useful for people who have laptops).

All you need is a .edu email address and actively enrolled in at least 0.5 course credits, and details are listed here. Check out the following link for more information. I definitely recommend this to people who are interested in buying Office, as it is an amazing deal.
